BAT "File Types"

when i look at "file types" in "folder options" / "file types", i am not seeing the ".BAT" file type listed there..

can someone look to see if the ".BAT" file type is listed in "file types" on their computer, and let me know if it is?

to access "file types", one way to do it is to open "my computer", click "tools" / "folder options" / "file types"..

A *.BAT file is a DOS batch file, which can be opened in Notepad. Its absence in the file type listing of XP (which does not include DOS) should not be a surprise. In addition, it is an executable (like *.COM which is also not listed) and *.EXE.
