C:\Program Files\Dell\ opens at startup
I have tried going to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ CurrentVersion\ Run but cannot find C:\ProgramFiles\Dell\Quickset, Dell Support, or anyting else that pertains to Dell other than my Dell All-in-one printer. I have nothing in my Dell folder about startup when I go to Start - All Programs - Dell. Does anyone have any other suggestions to rid the startup of C:\Program Files\Dell\ ?

I found an answer to my own question. I inserted Drivers and Utilities disk for my Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 964 and ran the program to update my existing printer files. Lo and behold, when I restarted my computer which ends the re-installation, there was no file C:\program files \ dell at start up. To everyone who gave suggestions, I thank you.

Look at this site for what quickset does and how to manage it. http://www.direct-laptops-guide.com/dell-quickset.html

idavids,
In addition to what paindoc stated, if you ran the printer patch, it may have removed some of the Dell programs. It depends on the model of your Dell Printer.

Please go to microsoft.com and download free beta "Fixit." I believe it will repair the issues
