McAfee Security Center Registration

This is really bizarre. I received my XPS400 a week ago, with McAfee Security Center installed. Today, it downloaded an update and then disabled the AV because I have not registered it. But, I can't find anywhere in the software to tell me how to register it. I also can't find anything at their web site for this. Somewhere it said to click on the tray icon and select Updates for this, but that does not lead to any option to register either. So now that I supposedly have this 15 months of protection, I'm left without any AV protection at all. How do I register it? I'm about to just uninstall it (and install something else) because I won't go without AV protection.

This is no longer an issue for me. I had emailed McAfee explaining this and asking how to register. The reply explained how to do a manual download of updates, which apparently requires one to already be registered. I just couldn't see going any longer without AV protection, so have now uninstalled the McAfee products and installed the same products I had been using on my prior machine.
