pci driver
my friend is using dell inspiron 1501. and i just formatted it last night.. im now using windows xp.. how can i get the pci driver? thanks

Windows XP has reached end of life and you should instead install Windows 7 or 8.1 32 Bit.
However if you wish to stick to XP provide the hardware ID:

Thank you. But now that drivers are completed, the laptop has no sound. Do i need to downgrade or upgrade my os?

XP commonly had sound issues if the system drivers weren't installed in the correct order. This usually needed a clean install to resolve.
i.e. Service Pack, Dell System Software, Chipset/CPU, Modem and then Audio. See here:
