WDM Workgroup v5.0 & S10 clients
WDM Workgroup v5.0 & S10 clients
Hi all,
I'm new to WDM after inheriting a system with WDM 4.9.1 installed, and a number (50+) of Wyse clients of various models and WTOS software versions.
The WDM 4.9.1 install is unlicensed and no good to us, so we have installed WDM 5.0 (Workgroup) on another server in the organisation and plan to use this in place of 4.9.1.
My current issue is this: the majority of our Wyse clients are S10 models and a lot of them are running either 7.0_113 or 7.1_122 system software. I understand that this means that - as the software doesn't all fit on the S10's flash memory in one go - these devices get part of their configuration from the network (WDM server?). What ours are doing is booting up, getting a DHCP address from the DHCP server, and then stopping on the Central Configuration screen.
The clients get their File Server, Username and Password paths just fine via DHCP, they get a WDM server path via auto discovery (WDM DHCP Proxy service?) this is not currently set on DHCP. The WDM server path is https://wdmserveripaddress:443.
I can see the S10 on the WDM v5.0 Device Manager screen.
I can't get it past the Central Configuration window.
What can I do next?
Any help greatly appreciated.
P.S. any clients running v6.5.0 system software are unaffected and work fine. Our T10s (WTOS 7), T50s (Wyse Ubuntu) & Z10s (WTOS 8) are also fine.
