XPS 8920, PSU upgrade

Hello, I've been given a new GPU (Nvidia GTX 690) that requires more than the 460Watt PSU in my 8920. I've found some older posts that recommend the EVGA SUPER NOVA 750B1 because of it's output on the +3.3v/+5v rails. Does anyone know if this is still the recommended product (or only known compatible product)? I need about 650 watts or more for the GPU. I'm open to the above PSU, but other models would come quicker from Amazon in my country :). Thanks! Dean

I would make sure that older card actually boots up on the machine before you go any further.

Edit:  I take that back, that card is really power hungry and pulls 130W at idle.

Also with newer computers and power consumption, the GPU pulls most of it's power from the +12V rail, not the +3.3/+5.5v rails

I found a PSU. The guy who gave me the card also gave me the PSU that was with it from his alienware desktop. It is a Dell N875EF-00. However, it has no harness. :). Anyone know the right part number or a source for the harness that would include the 2 eight pin connectors needed for the graphics card?

False alarm.  The PSU from his computer is way too large to fit :(

So I'm back to finding an appropriate PSU on Amazon. It was @speedstep who had indicated the +3.3v and +5v were insufficient on most power supplies.

I like the new Seasonic Focus Plus Gold PSU, the EVGA Supernova G3 Focus Plus Gold as well. Both good value for the money.  The Seasonic is a little more compact.

I ended up going with the EVGA SuperNova NEX750B.  The install went well and I had most of the needed power connectors (anyone know what the smaller SATA power cable is called that runs the optical drive?).  The PSU is also powering the GTX690 as intended.  Below are some photos of the install (I haven't done any cable management yet).

The Tiny sata power for the optical is 15 to 6 pin adapter.

I am considering replacing the 1050Ti in my 8920 with  a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 Super White 8GB card. I believe the EVGA 750 G1+  120-GP-0750-X1 will provide the power.. My concern is whether the mother board will have the power connectors for the needed power for the graphics card.
