XPS 15-9570, BIOS 1.13.0, cannot install

This update came out Sept 11, 2019 and every time I try to install it in Support Assist, it fails.  Any ideas for how I can get this bios update installed?  TIA.

Note that this Update fails in Support Assist every time.  But this is what worked - I was finally able to update the BIOS to 1.13.0:

1. download bios 1.13.0 file from Dell.

2. Right-click on the exe, and install it as Administrator.

3. When the install is done, it will tell you that you need to restart the system --- *** YOU NEED TO CLICK THE RESTART BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BIOS INSTALL DIALOG ***.  If you just restart the system by going to windows start and restart, that won't work.

Hope this helps others unable to update bios.

And...since I've updated the BIOS to 1.13.0, I've found some people saying that this update isn't good and has caused problems in some machines.  So far I haven't found that, but if I do, I'll report back here.

You are better off without the bios update on 9570, some issues have been reported after the bios update

@HamsFazil

That is for the XPS 9560.

I have not seen anyone report the same problem with the XPS 9570.

Also the XPS 9570 did not have the SK Hynix PC300 installed it uses the PC600.

Welcome to the Dell Community @kicknwing

First thing make a new folder on your desktop named “BIOS Update”

Then download your BIOS update.

Dell XPS 15 9570 System BIOS:

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=fpcc0&oscode=wt64a&productcode=xps-15-9570-laptop

Copy the update to that folder you just created.

Close all Windows and Apps you may have open.

Go to the folder and right click on the update file and “Run as Administrator”

Best regards,

U2
