XPS 9310 - Bluetooth lag with Logitech MX Keys + MX Master 3

My XPS 13 9310 has Bluetooth issues just like my previous XPS 9360

I just received the laptop and updated all drivers, bios and Windows - Everything is up to date.

Connect my keyboard and mouse and off we go. Awesome laptop - If you don't mind your mouse getting stuck for 2-3 seconds. Or typing a few characters behind.

In the beginning with my 9360 I had a similar problem - Though I remember only turning off some mouse settings and that solved it. Now - can't figure out why out of the box a $2K laptop cannot perform as it should.

Thanks a lot!

It also seems to have solved the issue for me!

But I wonder, why that issue is also present on Ubuntu...maybe the driver is provided by Intel and has the same issue.

Thanks to @YsHaNgM for finding this!

The fix, again for anyone with any trouble with Bluetooth mouse or keyboard lag on a Dell XPS 9300 or XPS 9310 is a registry tweak =

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\VID_8087&PID_0026\5&ed1e05a&0&10\Device Parameters]

"DeviceSelectiveSuspended"=dword:00000000

"SelectiveSuspendEnabled"=dword:00000000

"SelectiveSuspendSupported"=dword:00000000

Well it's not just Dell -- it affects other computers using that same wireless chip made by Intel. It affected my Lenovo too. I would say the issue is mainly with Intel and Windows but Dell (and other manufacturers) should have done a better job at communicating this issue with Intel and Customers to get to the bottom of this sooner. Seems like there was a lack of testing as clearly this was a bug in the driver(s).

Perhaps someone can help me with this : https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/Dell-X13-9310-Nov-2020-Hifi-System-USB-Digital-to-Analog/m-p/7797477#M78107

It works for me. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP !

Where you ended is a sales tactic to buy a PC tool, did you buy it?  I didn't and fixed the problem without having to download anything.

Am with you my friend. It appears fixed bluetooth lag issue.  Also have WD19TB and so far is working good with one 4K monitor.  This summer will add another 4K monitor, and let's see how that works out.

Got the M585 and had the same problem, but apparently just got it fixed.  Basically unticked the TWO USB Root Hubs power management features.  When done in the Bluetooth section, appeared not to fix the problem.  Everything is a process of elimination, but looks like all done.

I have the same issue in 20.10 (XPS13 9300)  both MX Keys and Master 3 occasionally hiccup for a split second, especially after a (even a rather short) period of inactivity...

Has anyone else experience battery drain or the laptop not entering sleep mode properly after making the adjustments to the registry?

Yes, unfortunately it seems to affect modern standby (which is a pain anyways) and crashes during wakeup on my system Also the device is overheating sometimes when put to sleep which I haven't seen before...if I open the lid, the screen stays black but the device is horribly hot and the fans are spinning at full speed. The only solution is to press the power button until it turns off. I had that issues a lot on HP, but not so much on Dell... So it is a workaround but seems to come with a solid drawback.. (BTW to anyone who wants to return their Laptop because of that... I bought an XPS because my HP Spectre had several issues after one year of light usage, they couldn't repair it (tried it 2 times)...and I am waiting for a different replacement unit since now 8 months...which I will sell anyways because the XPS is a loooooot better and smoother, though still not as hassle free as the Macbooks I owned before)

@Marcus St I've had the exact same issues. I've reverted back to the original registry for now. Not just me then!
