Greetings,

I have a Dimension 8400 and recently purchased and installed a Western Digital Caviar Green 1 TB hard drive. While booting into a LiveCD distribution of Linux sees my drive perfectly fine, the BIOS and Windows do not. It's installed alongside the original 160 GB Seagate drive that my computer came with, which is still running fine - with the new drive as the "slave" drive, if that terminology still applies. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version that I could find (A09) but it had no effect.

Anyone have any sort of idea what the issue could be? I've already copied my data over to it from a Slax LiveCD, but it loses a lot of usefulness if the BIOS and Windows are unable to recognize it.
