hello,
I made a clean installation of the operating system on my Studio XPS 8000 Desktop: win7 x64 automatically detects the sound card as "hight definition audio device" in the control panel but no device available audio and in fact at the bottom next to the clock 'the speaker icon has a red x.

I installed the Realtek drivers on the Dell dvd but the card is not recognized and is still identified as "hight definition audio device".

Even the updated drivers from the realtek site did not produce any results.

Does anyone have any workaround to suggest?
