Dell R720

Hi I am planning to buy a Dell R720 with 8 3.5 disk slots, is using this raid controller DELL PERC H310.I will install proxmox on it, I want to know what size of drive I can plug in in SATA or in SAS.I was planning to plug in 8 disk of 2, 3 or 4 tb SAS drive 8 of the same capacity.

Any advice?
