iDRAC virtual console does not provide CLI prompt
After the system is booted I note that there is no CLI prompt on iDRAC virtual console. Instead there is only a flashing underscore cursor at top left of screen. This was observed only today, I had a reboot yesterday and the CLI prompt came up fine.
Some details:
- Machine boots normally, able to access the machine via SSH
- A few parameters in /etc/default/grub were changed prior to reboot, not expecting this to be the cause
- No warnings in the Lifecycle logs.
- Able to interact with virtual console successfully and do things like change bios settings
- A soft reset of iDRAC did not help
- Rebooting the server also did not help
Hardware: Dell R640
iDRAC firmware: 3.21.21.21
Any help is much appreciated!
