Sonic - Record Now
This trouble started after I contacted Dell Technical Support and Windows XP was reloaded. Now, when I attempt "Exact Copy," Record Now does not recognize that I have a disc in the drive. I have only one drive, Phillips DVD/RW 8631. The drive is indicated in the Sonic drop-down box as Phillips DVDRW 9. When I click on the COPY button, I continually get a pop up box stating to insert a disc even though a disc is in the drive. It make no difference whether the disc is a copyrighted disc or simply a back up data disc. I had no problem with this prior to being directed to reload windows xp. Twice I've downloaded and installed the driver for the Phillips 8631. I've also twice tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Sonic RecordNow 7.3 LE software.
A couple of times, the software has actually read the source disc after I clicked on copy - then I was directed to insert a blank disc, which I did. Then, the pop up box asked me over and over to insert a blank disc, which I did, trying several different blank discs. The software never recognized that I had inserted a blank disc.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. I've given up on the Sonic support website.
