I have an Inspiron 8600 with a 60GB 7200 rpm HD and currently running XP Pro. I would like to upgrade to Vista Business or Vista Ultimate (still not too sure what would be better) and I had a question about the upgrade. I have some software on my i8600 for which I no longer have the installation CDs, and so I was wondering if I upgrade to Vista, would all installed software still remain accessible in Vista or would I need to go about reinstalling them. If the latter is the case, would you guys then recommend a clean install?
