Update BIOS Suspend BitLocker on Windows Home? Really?
On the instructions for updating BIOS, it says, "Before updating the BIOS, ensure that you suspend BitLocker encryption on a BitLocker-enabled system. If BitLocker is not enabled on your system, you can ignore this step"
I have Windows 10 Home, which does have BitLocker encryption (although I thought it was only for Windows 10 PRO). I know because there is a key, and when I tried to boot into safe mode recently, I was asked to enter my BitLocker key.
But, on Windows 10 Home, there is no 'suspend' option. I can only either turn encryption on or off. If I turn it off, it will decrypt the entire drive (that's what it says anyway).
So the question: Do I need to turn this encryption off? Or does this not apply to systems with Windows 10 Home Drive Encryption?
Thank you,
Josh
