Ordered 3/28 with a scheduled ship date of 4/4 and delivery of 3/29-4/5.  Went into production on 4/1 and I get an email at 9:40PM EST 4/4 saying new delivery date is 4/19.  I particularly selected components to have an early delivery.  I'm just dumbfounded how 2 hours before the delivery date is when you notice that it will take 2 more weeks?  Makes no sense to me.  Once it went into production I assumed all parts are available and ordered other components from other vendors with expedited shipping so that things arrive relatively simultaneously.

Not my first delay with Dell, but certainly the most 'last minute'.  I will have to see if anyone else can get me a machine in short order so I can cancel this order.
