Start up problem disk error

Can someone help me? When i start up my computer it says disk error press control alt delete to restart. Which i do and the same thing happens over and over again. its just the black screen with that phrase. thanx

This is a General board so you need to be more specific. Operating System and model computer need to be known for someone to help.

Mary is right, but before you do anything else press the eject button on your floppy drive and make sure there isn't a disk in there. If there is then take it out and restart your computer. If it boots to the Windows desktop then the problem was simply that you had a non-bootable disk inserted.
