e1505 drops internet connection
i have a new 1505, with broadcom ethernet, and 1394 wireless adapter.
i have installed lotus smart suite, lotus notes, AT&T net client, IBM DB2,
IBM QMF for windows, mozilla firefox. Linksys WRT350N.
upgraded driver for the 1394, from DELL site.
this machine will only stay connected to the internet for about 10 minutes.
Wireless:
i power up, dell network assistant shows path to router and internet ok.
after about 10 minutes, i can no longer access the internet with a browser,
and the network assistant indicates a broken connection between the internet
and the router. My desk top (ethernet connected to router, has no problem
accessing the internet. when i try accessing the router page (192.168.1.1)
i get the can not find that address, but i can ping it OK. disabling and
re-enableing does not help. the only way i can get connection back is to
power off.
Ethernet:
i have attached (ethernet) laptop to my network at work, stay connected to the internet for about 10 minutes, get the unable to connect message from browser, yet
i can ping any machines on the network.. again the only recovery is power off
i have network connection but can not access the internet???
