We've got a situation where I'm a bit unsure what the best way to handle would be.

Currently we have a RAID-10 Array on a PERC H730 Mini, built upon WD Re SAS drives.

Unfortunately 2 out of 4 drives start to report failure and we'd like to replace them.

Comparing server age to disk prices, we currently plan to switch from SAS to SATA drives.

My understanding here is, that I cannot mix SAS and SATA drives within the same RAID Array.

I guess, we'd need to create a seperate RAID Array built from SATA drives and transfer everything from the old to the new virtual drive?
