I have a 1710n printer that always has the Toner Lower/Replace light drum on(solid) and the Error light on (also solid). I checked the manual and saw it indicates the drum needs to replaced. It also says you can reset the drum page count by holding down the Cancel button till the LEDs cycle. I did this, but when I close the front door, the same lights are still on. If I hit continue the paper jam light also comes on.

It seems there is a bigger problem than the paper count for the drum. Does anyone have an idea what's wrong?
