I got my Alienware M17 R4 with the i7 10th gen and a rtx3070 video card. Amazing laptop, but I tried overclocking my gpu and any overclock no matter how small, even a simple 50mhz increase makes my screen backlight turn completely off. Computer doesn't crash as I can shine a light at the screen and kind of make out whats in there but I cant get the backlight to do anything until i reboot the laptop. This also happens if i undervolt the gpu. I tried setting the OC with Command Center and with MSI Afterburner and getting the same results with both. I do have the 360hz monitor which is directly connected to the gpu, not sure if that makes a difference. Any ideas why this might be happening?
