m17, start button blinking 2x red and 1x blue
Hello,
I changed battey in my alienware r17m5 and this problem showup:
when I press the ON button, the laptop starts for 2 seconds and then stop. He does this several times and then starts up with a black screen and the power LED (skull) blinks 2x red and 1 blue
Somebody know the problem?

Click the blue DELL-Cares username. Their profile page will appear. On the right click, "Send this user a private message". They will need the private Service Tag.

Light Code 2-1 means the processor has failed.
Make sure you bought the battery from Dell and not from an online seller.

To ensure the security of your information, I recommend deleting any Dell-based information (Service Tag / Express Service Code) post.

This battery is not from Dell. Looks I need to buy new laptop?
