I recently purchased a 7414 rugged laptop, but the touch screen is not working. In device management, it would show "HID compliant touch screen" as hidden. After performing a reset and reinstalling windows, It will not show up at all. The screen seems to somewhat detect touch, as the cursor seems to move towards my finger when I touch it, but it does not work properly. I have already made sure in the dell website that my laptop did have a touchscreen, which it does and it says it was manufactured by "egalax." I have already installed the driver for this "egalax touch panel" from the dell site as well but to no avail. Any help is appreciated. Thank you for your time.
