Processor Fan Noise.
Dell Dimension 8400. 2 months old.
Frequently, upon starting, the processor fan makes a whirring, whining, noise which continues for about 1/2 an hour. Occasionally this noise continues for more than 2 hours and sometimes starts after the computer has been running for some hours. I would describe this noise as being of medium intensity and find it both distracting and irritating.
The fan in question is a Delta, DC Brushless, model AFC0912DE. Dell P/N P2780.
Any advice how best to overcome this problem?
