Hi all,

I'm a college student going overseas to study abroad for a year, and researching which Dell laptop to buy. Portability is important (but one pound won't make a difference), however, it will be my primary (and only) computer for home, school, class...everything. I'm not really interested in any gaming capabilities etc. Just want an efficient, fast, attractive, and will-do-the-job laptop for mostly MS Office applications, internet use, storage, music, and watching DVDs.

I'm choosing between the 700m and D610. Is there a big difference between the inspiron and latitude laptops...if not, why are they in different categories? I considered the 600m, but i heard it's the oldest model on the line and will probably be replaced soon. Any suggestions/advice between 700m and D610?
