i have just bought my very first dell laptop!

very impressed with it so far- except this problem

 

 

when i turn the plugin for the xps lights on in WMP, the audio crackles very bad

when i switch the plugin off, audio is fine.  the crackling goes to earphones also when i plug it in,

and i noticed the crackle happens when a color change occurs...

 

 

Is this a known problem with an easy fix for it?
