My Latitude CPx J series quit charging last week. The battery indicator light stays on for only a few seconds when I plug in the adapter. I assumed the battery died since it was 2 years? old so I ordered a new one. Darn, the new one doesn't seem to charge either. I booted to BIOS and see that the battery is supposed to be charging but after being plugged in for 30 minutes the charge percentage of the new battery hasn't changed (10%). Battery status says charging but it isn't. And there is no header on BIOS page 5 showing any info about the adapter per references on Dell support site. I saw some posts that talk about a faulty motherboard, and other places seem to indicate the pin on the adapter might be faulty. The computer runs off the power adapter just fine though. Any ideas out there??
