My Inspiron 1525 had a virus that my provider was working on remotely.  I had to turn the computer off but when I tried to turn it back on, I couldnt get past the Dell logo.  Prior to this, I was able to get past the logo so that the provider could do whatever it is they do.  I remember that he told me to hit F8 once I saw the logo.  Now if I hit F8 nothing happens.  Anyone had a problem like this that didnt cost an arm and a leg to fix.  Of course, my warranty has lapsed!  Thank you.
