Dell 1530 / Docking Station???

Hey guys,

I recently got a new Dell 1530. I'm pretty happy with it, but I would prefer to use it as a desktop about 90% of the time. With that in mind, I was wondering what my options are in terms of a docking station.

I have a Dell D600 (something or other) laptop that I use for contracting. I have that, as well as the docking station, and I have it piped into my KVM switch.

With this new laptop, I know that there isn't a docking station that is compatible with it. What are my options? I don't mind having to plug in and unplug the monitor every time, but I would ideally like to be able to have everything else piped into the USB port. I figured I could just use a USB hub, and that would solve all my issues. How about the Dell monitor stand? How does the monitor stand (with the power and undock buttons) work? I used to have one at my old job, but I don't remember how it connected to the docking station. Was it just a USB plug? If that's the case, can I just plug that into my USB hub which I plug into my new 1530 and use that as the docking station?

Thanks!
