I have an Inspiron E1505 about 3+ years old.  The battery is basically dead.  Over heated tremendously, flashing lightson keyboard, etc.  Ordered new battery and I was wondering if it is safe to run my laptop without a battery (just using AC power) until new battery is delivered.  Will this do any harm to computer or files?  Thanks
