I have a dell inspiron 4100 with windows XP home. I wish to buy a wireless PC card. have some question will appreciate an answer.....

1. What is the difference between PCMCIA slot and Type II slot. I have type 2 slots.

2. I wish to buy Netgear 802.11g card/ D-link 802.11g card. Which one is better? I heard that there are some compatiblity issues with DELL and D-link wireless cards? If somebody know anything please do tell.

How goo is the security encryption on these cards...
