Just a reminder....I'm still an 'elementary' computer user. I hope I use the correct terms, etc.

I have a new Inspiron 5100. I have an old Inspiron 3500 (it still works good).
When I purchased the 5100, I did not order the Floppy Disk Drive (Drive A). Will the Floppy Disk Drive that came with my 3500 work on my 5100? I think I remember the salesman from Dell telling me that it would. I don't want to try to use it unless I know for sure I won't mess up anything.
