We are using a SmartUPS 1400 with a management card installed to safe shutdown our Dell PowerEdge when we lose our mains power. The safe shut-down works fine, but the server does not power up. The power supply for the Dell Power Edge 2650 is connected to an APC Master Switch (AP7920) and using the web management software, we can turn on and off the power to this server. The problem is when we turn the power on to the server from the master switch nothing happens, we just hear a click. I have read that there is no BIOS option for this server to disable power options.

Is there a known issue with this model of server?
