Windows DVD Maker Problem

Hey all

I like the simplicity of the Windows DVD Maker but I'm having problems with it. Everything works fine up until the point where I click "Burn". The progress meter starts but when it reaches 0.7% the computer locks up. I have

Dell XPS Studio
4 GB to channel DDR RAM
HL-DT-ST-DVD +/- RW-GH30N-ATA DVD burner
Ensomic 22 inch 16x9 monitor
Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit

I carry a pretty heavy resource load because I'm using Dragon NaturallySpeaking but I've even tried turning that off along with anything else that might use unnecessary resources and the results are the same. The odd thing is that it doesn't do it all the time (of course) but it does happen enough to make using the program not worth the effort.

Any ideas, workarounds, patches would be gratefully appreciated. Even better, if someone else has had this problem and found a solution, feel free to jump right in.

Thanks so much in advance,
