scsi-3 persistent reservation Windows 2008 Cluster validation
I am deploying an exchange 2007 mailbox SCC cluster which failed validation on my DMX-2 1000 for scsi-3 persistent reservation test. I am using Solutions Enabler 6.5 / ECC 6.1.
Here are some findings and a question.
FYI the syntax seems to have changed for symconfigures text file
symconfigure -sid XXXX -f C:\emcscripts\setscsi3.txt commit
in file
set device XXXX attribute=SCSI3_persist_reserv;
My question is do I only need to set this attribute on the shared devices which will be managed by the cluster? ( I am guessing yes) Each host also has a boot device and a device for Binary files as well which are not shared. I also want to confirm that I do not need to change the FA attributes as well? My main concern is deploying a solution that gets flagged later as not supported.
