Have  a Dimension e520.

I have checked for a recovery partition which is there and I can browse files in it

But when I attempt to boot into recovery partition - ctrl + F11 - it doesn't work

I know n other systems you can often instigate the recovery to factory defaults from within the OS but I cant see any recovery program installed.

Can I instigate it from running a file from within the recvery partition,

or

can someone help me to boot into the recovery partition
