Hi, we are have to make SAN connections reconfiguration, this includes some new paths and removing old ones. The storage is CX500, hosts are running Windows 2003 SP2 R2, powerpath is ver. 4.5. The problem is that powerpath does not discover the new paths even after reboot.
This is what we do:
1. move connection from one switch to other
2. make proper san zoning
3. remove degraded paths from powerpath and save configuration
4. run powermt config -- no new paths are discovered
5. reboot host - no new paths are discovered
6. return to previous configuration - paths that were deleted are discovered again.

What could be the issue - HBA drivers ?, powerpath ? or something else.
