Used MD3000i how to?
Hello experts!
I got a used MD3000 (dual controller) without hard disks. I connected the storage to my notebook (via ethernet cable) running W7 (just for test). I used a DHCP server to be sure that the notebook and the MD3000 get IP from the same subnet. I ran the Configure MD3000 wizard from the resource cd, but it couldn't discover the storage.
I think this is because the MD3000 already has a static IP address, but I don't know its subnet. Another problem is, I don't have a console cable for this device.
My first question is: Is it possible to check it's current IP settings?
And my second question: The storage has no hard disks. Could it be the reason of the discovery problem?
Thanks a lot.
regards,
Dominik
