I am running on an:

Inspiron 9400 with XP MCE Ver. 2002 SP3. 

Intel  T2500

60GB hard drive

2GB RAM

 

I just noticed that the boot options on the boot.ini tab in MSCONFIG are all greyed out and I cannot figure out for the life of me.   The boot tab has this in the window:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="help"

 

I do have  the pc set up for selective start up because there were too many annoying things on start that I could not remove (another frustrating issue).  Any help on either of these issues would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
