New Inspiron 6000 shut down problems
Hi. My son had a new Inspiron 6000 for Xmas. From the moment we tried to turn the machine off, either to restart or fully turn off, the pc either takes forever or needs to be turned off by holding the off button.
We have tried to search for resolutions, but have found that this seems to be a common problem with Dell laptops.
We system restored to a time before we loaded any programmes onto the pc, but this made no difference. No viruses or spyware to be found either.
We exit MSN and Norton before trying to power down, but this makes no difference (someone said try this on a previous search somewhere!)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
