Hi,

I wiped and re-installed windows 7 on my dell xps 15 as it was running slow and kept crashing but when i try to restore my data from an expansion drive my laptop fails top pick it up. I have tried connecting my expansion drive to other computers and they can pick it up and also i have tried both USB ports and different things in the USB port but none of them seem to work.

Also when i plug my laptop into the router with an Ethernet cable it also can't pick it up meaning i can't connect to the internet.

I thought that maybe none of the ports work but i am still able to charge my laptop.

Any thoughts
