I am using a Dell Latitude D600 and just formatted this with Windows XP Pro and installed all the drivers from the resource CD and all in the correct order, with Chipset being first.

 

I have come to install my Linksys WPC54G Network Adapter, all the software runs perfectly and on being told to insert the card, I do so but them Windows insists on NETWORK CONTROLLER software to be installed. 

 

This is not on the resource CD or the Linksys CD.. 

 

I have also tried another card a Netgear one and this has the same issue.

 

Someone please help me as I am going mad and really need my laptop to connect to my works wireless network.
