I have a Dimension E310 that reads and burns both +/- cd's and dvd's. I also have a second computer from a different manufacture that appears to only play and record cd-r & cd-rw.

Is there something wrong with this computer,or are cd-r's the only disc's it with record and play?

 

My concern is i have burned some back-up files on another computer using  various  types of disc's, and find i can't read them on this second computer .
