Hey,  I recently upgraded from XP to Vista Home Premium and since I have been experiencing regular freezes due to my CPU maxxing out from even the most mundane things (opening a new website in Internet Explorer, playing an mp3, emptying recycle bin).  I have an XPS with 1 gig of ram and a P4 3.4GHz processor so these actions shouldn't be doing this.  It seems to be a little better when not showing the CPU/Ram clock on my sidebar but still does it regualrly.  I have run recently update virus & spyware software revealing nothing there.  Any others with this same issue?  Any help would be appreciated.
