Hello,

I recently reinstalled Vista to get rid of the junk that was previously on the PC.

However, updates are not installing and SP2 won't install either.

I've got up to date Virus protection, and I don't have any viruses.

It gets to step 2 of configuring then tells me it has to revert because config failed.

I have not made any changes to the system except installing the Dell drivers, Notepad ++ and Kaspersky.

I've tried Googling but there is no fix it seems. I'm not prepared to put up with an operating system that takes 30 minutes to start up (because of the reverting).

I've disabled Windows Update to stop this, but it still wants to update.

Can anyone help me?
