Dell XPS 9350 & Precision 5510 Thunderbolt problem (Dock TB16)
I'm trying to connect Dell TB16 dock to the XPS 13 9350 laptop. I have fresh Windows 10 installed, after that I've installed all drivers as described in this article https://www.dell.com/support/article/en-us/sln304347/driver-installation-guide-for-dell-thunderbolt-dock-tb16?lang=en and found that laptop doesn't detect dock connected. I've found out that Intel USB 3.1 extensible host controller and USB HUB associated with it is inactive and device status is "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)". It becomes active only when Thunderbolt firmware is updated and for ~10-15 seconds after. The same situation is with Intel Thunderbolt Software showing Thunderbolt Port 1 in the list of attached device chains appears in the same time of firmware upgrade and then crashes. If I try to run Dell TB16 firmware update it stops at the stage of collecting Dock information with the message "Error Collecting Dock information Failed".
I've tried the same setup with the Precision 5510 laptop and got almost the same results with a single difference. When I'm trying to run Dell TB16 firmware update it passes collecting Dock information but stops with the message "Error: Reading Asmedia USB 3.0 host controller firmware failed"
I've already changed power plan to not enable USB selective suspend. What else could be done to connect Dock to any of these laptops?
