Two AW2521HF, USB 3.0 upstream cable usage
I bought my son two Alienware 25 Gaming Monitors - AW2521HF.
Both AW2521HF come with a USB 3.0 upstream cable. Looks like the only way you can change the RGB lights on the monitors is to have both USB 3.0 upstream cables plugged into the PC.
My question is this, before we start working on getting the cables behind the desk to look nice I've already noticed one USB 3.0 upstream cable will be too short. Do both USB 3.0 upstream cables need to be plugged into the PC to control the RGB lights on the back of both monitors? Or can you plug one USB 3.0 upstream cable into the PC and the other end of the cable into monitor 1, and then take the 2nd USB 3.0 upstream cable and plug it into monitor 1 and the other end of the cable into monitor 2? Basically can you daisy chain both monitors together or do both monitors need to be separately plugged into the PC using both USB 3.0 upstream cables? Thx
