Alienware VS custom
Hi everyone,
I was wondering what the difference in performance or quality is between a newly configured Alienware system (like this one) or a custom build system (like this one)?
Will the performance be the same if configured with the same CPU, GPU and amount of RAM?
What about the cooling and noise?

One gives you support from Dell and the other gives you support from Fenn ;)
If the parts and specs are the same, the theoretical performance is the same. The cooling and noise depends on the fans and case but also on the PSU, the place in your room etc... It's hard to find out.
I can't give you any advice other than definitely go with 32GB RAM. 16 is just short of enough for a lot of heavy stuff. It would be a shame if you bought 2x8GB and only have 2 slots if you want to upgrade.
