Hey all -

We've been having an issue whereby some of our disk groups repeatedly "lose" the "preferred RAID controller module ownership" on our Dell PowerVault MD3600f, and then performance goes over the side and we're left with backups taking forever and our virtualization cluster absolutely locked in terms of performance - and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what's causing this or why performance is so slow at all. We have 8 gigabit SFP+ transceivers and a switch that supports those speeds, yet we cannot get good performance or reliable connectivity.

We're getting something like 2.3 MB/sec in the performance monitor in the MDSM, and that is WELL below what we should be getting, even on a single-path connection.

What gives?
