What is the difficulty to do one of the following on a USB docking station to avoid having to use two separate power adapter:

1. Give a power cable along the USB connection to pass docking station power to the laptop's power plug
2. Implement in the laptop an USB connection capable of delivering the power required by the docking station (up to 100 W is feasible according to USB specs) and control it with an appropriate driver if necessary

This would save material ressources and avoid future electronic wastes.
